Staying at the Traubenheim
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast. Our extensive breakfast buffet leaves almost nothing to be desired and is included in the price of your room; for this reason we are also called a “breakfast hotel,” or a B&B. As soon as weather permits, you are welcome to dine on our garden terrace!
And our buffet stays open from 7.30am until 11.00am for those who like to sleep in.
How would you like a delicious – freshly baked everyday – piece of cake in the afternoon?
Our bar, open all day, has a wide range of wine and beverages on the menu. We will serve you a small but refined selection of cold and hot dishes on request.
For special culinary delights, the Sonnbichl**** affiliated hotel restaurant is available to you (100 metres away). A 5 course gourmet set menu is offered there daily (€37.00) and once per week the Sonnbichl Gala dinner and the appetiser buffet every Sunday is on the programme (€39.50). The Traubenheim morning post on your breakfast table will let you know about the offers on the set menu daily.
We request that you make a reservation before 11.00am for the evening meal on the same day.
Sonnbichl´s Gourmet Cuisine – a culinary insider’s tip
The dishes of our kitchen team have left remaining impressions for years. Our chef Roland Halbeisen, a passionate cook, conjures up delicacies at the highest level every evening with his team. He always endeavours to combine creative ideas with traditional South Tyrolean cuisine in a refined way and places a lot of value on fresh herbs from our herb garden, as well as the finest “local” ingredients from organic farmers.
The product and its unique flavour is important. It has to be pure and authentically. Sonnbichl’s delicacy cuisine impresses with simple, Mediterranean culinary art and touches on many years of experience, creativity full of fantasy, and joy for culinary delights.
Our guests experience a dance of joy of delights daily with a 5 course set menu and a Gala dinner once per week, the culinary 6 course menu and wine which goes with every course – always on Thursdays from 7:00pm. And if you were to take a look behind the scenes, our kitchen team is happy to have you for a short visit; perhaps you will receive an entirely personal tip which you can take with you back home.
Delicious wines in the small paradise
You can also find fine, special wine in our in-house treasure trove. Hundreds of brands of high-class wines from South Tyrol and fine, precious bottles from around the world are stored here in our wine cellar and are waiting to be discovered and tasted by you. Be captivated by Hannes Jäger’s deep passion for special wine in the many wine tastings, and at the same time use the chance to talk shop, have a good discussion and dive into an indescribable diversity of flavours.
The lovingly selected wines go excellently with our exquisite cuisine, because at Sonnbichl this always applies: only the best for you! Be advised while eating, our trained team and Mr Jäger are very happy to help you in the selection of your wine, aperitifs or digestives. Please ask us!
